Letter from PHBA President: Spring 2017 Registration is Open
Hello PHBA Families,
I can't believe how the summer flew by and the kids are back in school. I’m excited to tell you that we are hard at work for the upcoming PHBA season! Online registration is open. With the opening of registration and planning taking place for next season, I wanted to highlight a few changes for this season.
All Girls and Boys Intermediate, Pioneer, American, National, and Western teams are required to provide a volunteer team umpire or umpires to meet the team's 16-game season commitment.
TURI Fee per player, separate from the Registration fee, for which PHBA will "HOLD" credit card information for this commitment. This fee will only be charged to players/teams that do not fulfill the volunteer umpire requirement. Similar to the LAFF fee in structure, a $40 “hold” will be placed at the time of player registration. Releasing the hold for this fee will be dependent upon the team's volunteer umpire(s) successfully meeting the duties, responsibilities, and deadlines established by PHBA. There is not a buyout option for this commitment.
PHBA player fees remain unchanged for the 2017 season. New this year will be a “late registration fee.” The late registration fee will be an additional $20 per player for players that register after December 10th, 2016.
PHBA is more popular and successful than it has ever been! We take pride in our philosophy that “every kid plays” and in the fact that the league is run by volunteers. The small changes above will ensure that we continue to provide a great experience for our kids and our community.
Look for more communication in the coming months. It will not be long until Opening Day on March 4th!
